Trust there sizing
Bought a 2 XL set of these before christmas. I wanted to make sure that they would stay up and don't have to pull them up everytime I sit down. They fit very comfortable and I don't need to tie the draw string to keep them up.
Feeling comfortable with the performace I ordered a second set, but XL. Overall a better fit for performance (Knees fit tighter and brace better) and still stay in place without sinching the draw string very tight. There is plenty of height in the waist area to ensure a comfortable, all day fit.
These are very warm; they fit and insulate better than most of my long underear. They also wick sweat away better as well so I can go in and out of the lodge multiple times through the day and still be comfortable. I wear them while Ski Patrolling so need lots of bending as well as in and out of the patrol huts.
I just bought my second Bracelayer KX@ hockey pants-after 5 years and a few hundred games I replaced mine this year.
I don't have particularly bad knees but I bought them in my late 60s as a preventive measure so that when I get old and the wear and tear of hockey catches up to me, I hope leg/knee and hip support help me get through or delay problems. so far so good!!
It feels like your knees stay in their proper alignment. The Bracelayer is not too tight, just right. Vertical movement is not affected, but you do have a better sense of confidence when you're skiing that your knees won't give out. They are nice and warm as well.
I have the 7/8 length and I find that fantastic. Mush easier when you're putting on your boots as there is less fumbling around trying to get everything smooth before locking your boot into place.
My only complaints are that I find that they do not go high enough over your waist and going for a pee is complicated. :)
Since the first time i wore them, theres no way ill ever ski without them!
Keeps my knee together and very nimble.
Purchased these for my husband for Christmas, unfortunately we found a small defect where the seam had not been sewn. I contacted customer service and they got back to me that same day and had a replacement sent out right away. My husband tried them out snowboarding the other day and loved them. Great for a bit of extra support for aging legs. Highly recommend this product and company!
Love my purchase they are very comfortable and work very well
I was skeptical about bracelayer, but had decided to try anything after dramatic increases in lifelong chronic pain, and struggles with hypermobility.
I didn't expect much, as I tried on my first pair. I immediately felt like my lower body was being hugged, held together, without me "doing all the work."
Going up and down the stairs wasn't painless, but noticeably easier. I'm able to make it through a day of work without being in agony the entire time. They don't slip and shift around like every knee brace I've ever had.
I wore them for a few hours, and ordered two more pairs the same day. I'm someone who can never hope to be "pain free," and has recieved very little medical support. Bracelayer has let me feel the closest to who I used to be in years.
Furthermore, for anyone worrying about size; I am a 6'4" woman, about 280lbs. I ordered the 2X, and they fit me. I'm still surprised every time I put them on.
Ordered pants for 57 year old husband playing in Men’s league. We had to return and go up one size. The exchange was fine. After his first game wearing them he said, “ I haven’t skated that good in years! I was able to skate faster and do better crossovers”.
I bought the KXV alpine and KS1 alpine both boot cut for skiing and they both work very well. I was concerned the KXV may come down during use, but it has not been an issue for me. Bought another couple of pairs of KXV alpine, the KXV green line cycling (outstanding) and KS1 vent for workouts since I started playing soccer again and had another knee problem. I use bracelayer for every sport where I need knee and hip support now and highly recommend them.
Using for warmth and support of my knee for curling and skiing. Great support for the knee. No longer need any additional knee brace.
I wear these for curling. They replace the brace I was wearing and give me comfort and support I didn’t realize was possible. Now 4 of my friends wear them also.
